Een nieuwe werkomgeving verandert niet vanzelf de manier waarop mensen werken Your work environment can either sustain, promote or hinder desired behavior, thereby influencing your employees' performance. READ MORE SMARTER, BETTER AND COST-EFFECTIVE Reimagining the Workplace Further Further Further Een verhuizing, renovatie of nieuwe inrichting lijkt in eerste instantie een huisvestingsvraagstuk. • Nassau Workplace Strategy & Design | Project Tata Steel

Project Tata Steel | Een activity based werkomgeving die medewerkers flexibilteit biedt, ondersteuning geeft, motiveert en inspireert PROJECTS Tata Steel | Sustainable in every sense An innovative, flexible working environment for Corporate Communications & Public Affairs According to Site Facilities (SF) the existing 'cellular office' concept at Tata Steel was up for revision. Serious doubts were raised regarding the future-proofing of the office concept. The immediate cause for this was the relocation of a number of departments located in buildings elsewhere on the site to the main office (the 'Dudok huis' - named after the famous Dutch architect Dudok) which would lead to serious capacity problems. Furthermore Site Facilities wondered whether the existing layout of the work floors was fit for purpose and whether the current way of working was adequately supported. In addition, Site Facilities indicated that it had its doubts about the appeal of the existing work environment with regard to finding and retaining employees. Tata Steel With offices in 26 countries and commercial offices in more than 35 countries, Tata Steel is one of the most international steel producers in the world and one of the largest steel producers in Europe. Dudokhuis The Dudokhuis (1951), the main building on the Tata Steel site 1951, was designed by the Dutch architect Willem Dudok and his partner Robert Magnée. The main building consists of an elongated three-storey office building interrupted by an almost equally high glass gate giving access to the production site. Over the years, three more wings have been added to the back of the building, on the production side. Integral design approach Tata Steel's Corporate Communications & Public Affairs (CCPA) department acted as the pilot department for the development and realization of an innovative work environment concept using the activity-based design approach. Nassau, in collaboration with management and employees of CCPA, mapped out the ambitions and developed and realized an innovative, integrated and flexible work environment concept. The new concept enables CC&PA employees to easily collaborate and communicate, share knowledge and expertise and generate new ideas without physical and digital barriers. The concept gives employees the freedom to adapt the choice of workplace to the activities to be carried out. This supports communication, collaboration and dynamic working methods much better than before. Sustainable in every sense The new, activity-based environment is 'sustainable in every sense'. Better use is made of the available m2. There are more workplaces per m2 and the number of m2 per employee drops from 13.8 m2 to 9.3 m2. The number of employees who can work in the department increases by almost 40%, which makes it easier to anticipate further personnel growth without having to adjust the working environment. In addition, operating costs per employee have fallen sharply. In addition, it was decided to work 'digital by default', to greatly reduce the use of paper and to remove the paper archives from the working floors as much as possible. In this way, the department contributed to reducing the C02 footprint. BACK TO PROJECTS “We can use the new work environment any way we want. • Nassau Workplace Strategy & Design | Politie Eenheid Den Haag

Nassau developed the Anders Werken change programme for Police Unit Den Haag: ambassador training, work agreements and communication for 2,200 employees across one new headquarters. PROJECTS National Police | The Hague Unit 'Anders Werken' in the largest police building in the Netherlands With the move to the new Unit Headquarters at the Binckhorst in The Hague, the Police Unit Den Haag took a major step in 2026. Not just physically — from four outdated and dispersed locations to one new building of over 48,000 m² for approximately 2,200 employees — but above all in the way people work and collaborate. Nassau guided the Unit through the change programme this transition requires. The brief was clear: Anders Werken could not become a real estate project. The focus was on behaviour, collaboration and culture — on what is needed to make people genuinely work differently, not just sit differently. An integrated change programme The programme Nassau developed and delivered consisted of several interconnected components. The starting point was research into work patterns, collaboration practices and the actual use of work environments across the various services. These insights informed both the building layout and the change approach. In parallel, a communication programme was developed targeting all layers of the organisation — from unit leadership and management teams to team leaders, operational staff and support functions. Different audiences require different messages. For managers, the emphasis was on frameworks, leading by example and managing on results. For employees, the focus was practical: what changes, what stays the same, and how does the new building work in the daily reality of police work. New work agreements made the principles of Anders Werken concrete and actionable. Ten shared agreements were developed for the entire location, covering workplace use, availability, collaboration, confidentiality and mutual accountability. Not static rules, but a living framework — with an explicit evaluation moment after one hundred days built into the approach. The ambassador programme The heart of the change programme was the ambassador programme. From virtually every part of the organisation, employees were selected and trained as ambassadors for Anders Werken. They form the link between the concept and the workplace — not as project spokespersons, but as colleagues who engage in conversation from a shared reality. About The Hague Unit The Hague Police Unit is one of the ten regional units of the National Police. The new Unit Office at Binckhorst brings together various disciplines under one roof — including the Regional Criminal Investigation Service and the Regional Intelligence Organisation Service. The handover of the keys took place in July 2026; the move-in process runs from August to September 2026. 'Nothing in isolation anymore. A question in criminal investigation quickly requires collaboration across different disciplines. At the old locations, people who needed each other daily simply didn't run into each other. That changes now.' Hugo Aalders Head of Operations The Hague Police Unit Nassau developed the Anders Werken Ambassador Guide for this purpose: a practical tool supporting ambassadors in facilitating team conversations, taking resistance seriously and translating principles into concrete behaviour. The guide addresses frequently asked questions, defines the boundaries of the ambassador role and provides conversation tools for a wide range of situations — from colleagues missing their fixed desk to questions about confidentiality, security and focus work. The programme ran from May to August 2026 and was rolled out in multiple rounds, ensuring ambassadors were well prepared before the move-in phase began. • Nassau Workplace Strategy & Design | Project Sonos

Project Sonos | een gestandaardiseerd werkomgevingsconcept voor Sonos Real Estate & Facilities PROJECTS SONOS | an inspiring challenge An innovative and inspiring working environment for Sonos Shanghai The Sonos organization has developed at a steady pace since its inception, but growth has accelerated from 2013. The increased use of smartphones in combination with the increase in streaming audio sites such as Pandora, Spotify and recently Apple Music created a perfect storm for a company that had already delved into app-driven wireless music distribution. To keep pace with rapid growth, Sonos Real Estate & Facilities (RE&F) has invested heavily in incremental space and workstations on a global scale. Sonos RE&F has developed a Workplace Concept characterized by an open and transparent work environment with a variety of facilities to focus, collaborate and socialize. Sonos branding is prominent in all offices. Standardized concept Sonos RE&F was looking for a standardized work environment concept that could eventually be applied to the entire Sonos workplace portfolio. Sonos RE&F has asked Nassau to guide the process of testing, developing and designing a standardized, activity-based, workplace concept and to apply it in a first version to the Sonos office in Shanghai (1000 m², 64 employees). The workplace concept had to match the Chinese work culture and meet conditions such as: flexibility (in connection with expected growth), efficiency (less costs per employee) and effectiveness (improving cooperation, innovation), branding (identity) and user experience (look and feel). ). Sonos Sonos is a fast-growing manufacturer of wireless multi-room music systems. Sonos Inc. was founded in 2002 and is located in Santa Barbara, California, with additional offices in Cambridge (Massachusetts), Hilversum (Netherlands), Munich (Germany), London (UK), Hellerup (Denmark), Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen (China) and Penang (Malaysia), with a total workforce of approximately 1,200 employees. With their innovative approach and high-quality wireless audio products, Sonos has revolutionized the music industry and forever changed the way people listen to music.
